Rainy Day Frustrations

So the weekend is over, and its a rainy monday and i'm grumpy. This weekend was awesome, just packed with great fun, The beavers won again, undefeated, and its a great feeling because I've seen them go from a team in those first days of...well...they had some "team building" issues, to now being just a cohesive group of great guys and great players. The frustration for me comes in that they play at night now, and high school football field lights is a sports photographers worst nightmare. You basically have one area of the field that is lit ok, and that is right in the middle. But where the great shots are, the endzone, well, that is like trying to shoot photos in a dark tunnel. So for me, its frustrating because I've taken some half way decent shots of the team over the last year, but now i feel like i'm failing as a photographer for them becuase trying to shoot at the semi pro level under high school lights just really makes for bad photos.

To top if off its an exciting week in the world of HD DSLR gear. I got my express35.com rig all set up and i've been meaning to do a review for them of it but the last one i shot, the dead cat windscreen hair was in the shot, so thats scraped, and i'm waiting on my zoom h1 audio recorder to come and start working with that, becuase the last video i did for a client totally failed due to crappy audio, and i've pretty much been sending them free cake everyday in the hopes that they can forgive that and work with me again.

Its just a rainy day and I want to create awesome Philip Bloom type stuff, but i'm stuck here drinking coffee with no sugar, cutting and pasting text into drupal all day, and i'm bored and frustarated. But it helps to write it down, and its not like anyone reads this stuff, right?
